Not Quite Fab

One of the top concert series draws in NW Florida, the Not Quite Fab Beatles Show is "Your favorite Beatles songs performed live". The Beatles performed live shows in America from 1964 to 1966. Three years, that's all! Not Quite Fab brings that experience and excitement to thousands of people who have never seen them, live before. From 1962-1970, Beatlemania to the summer of love, the songs of the Beatles changed the face of music. "Not Quite Fab" NW Florida's only Beatles Tribute Band.
We do the whole Beatles experience, wigs, Beatles suits and boots, Shea Stadium Jackets, Sgt. Pepper suits, Liverpool accents and the same model guitars and amps the Beatles used. Visual as well as musical it provides people the opportunity to experience what a Beatles show may have been like. (Without all the screaming teenagers drowning out the sound.)
"Not Quite Fab" is Dickie Williams (Gulf Breeze) as Paul McCartney, Glen Vignolo (Pensacola) as John Lennon, Jim DeStafney (Pensacola) as George Harrison, and Jeff Fitzpatrick (Niceville) as Ringo Starr. Every age group from children to retirees loves the Beatles music and sings along and dances to nearly every song.

3) How long has the band been together?
The band has been together 19 years.

4) Why was the band put together? Brief history of the band.
Not Quite Fab began when friends Dickie Williams and John Thompson started playing Beatles songs together on guitars. The Name ‘Not Quite Fab’ was thought up by Dickie Williams because we only had 2 members. The first event was a house party which was so well received that the guests all said we sound like the record and we should start a proper band. Searching the music seen in the Pensacola area we found other players and it grew from there. Musicians came and went. This final line-up has been together 10 years.

5) Awards, anything especially noteworthy about the band.
Performed with the Fred Gretsch ‘Anniversary Tour’ including The Romantics, Eddy Vetter’s Sweet tea Project.

6) Interesting bits:
Four members of Not Quite Fab served in the military. Jim DeStafney is a retired Naval Aviation Officer. He flew F14s and was a technical advisor and to the movie Top Gun, which he also appeared in several times. Dickie Williams served in the Marine Corps, was a member of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team and 2 time USMC All Marine Track and Field Team in the High Jump. Jeff Fitspatrick served in the Navy and later joined the Air Force and retired as Master Chief. Mike Antoine served in the Navy.
